Get Involved

Membership

The Junior League of the Champlain Valley's membership offers organized opportunities toCKK2006Group.jpg serve the community alongside a diverse group of local women. Women of all races and religions with a commitment to volunteerism are encouraged to get involved.

Information sessions are held each summer for those interested in becoming a member. To find out more, mail a membership inquiry to JLCV, P.O. Box 4418, Burlington, VT 05406, Attn: New Member Committee or email your contact information (email, address and phone) to JLCV-Email. You may also attend a JLCV general membership meeting. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday evening of each month, September through May, at the Elley-Long Music Center at Fort Ethan Allen in Colchester, VT.

Community Support

JLCV members provide hands-on assistance throughout the year to a variety of ckk_silou.jpgcommunity organizations for short-term projects. JLCV considers the below listed criteria when selecting support opportunities.

  •  The project involves a request for hands-on support (volunteers!). Once  chosen, JLCV is also  willing to  provide some funds to support an activity.
  •  Direct fundraising is not required. JLCV fundraises and funnels money to the  community but does  not directly  fundraise for other groups.
  •  It is preferable if the project involves an element of volunteer training to  prepare for the event.
  •  The project serves women and families at risk in the community.
